These terms govern your use of the SYNAPS website (synaps.co), our products, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. SYNAPS products are intended for athletes aged 9 to 18, but only an adult may purchase, manage a subscription, or hold an account. By purchasing, you confirm you have the authority to consent on behalf of the athlete who will use the product.
2. Health disclaimer
SYNAPS is a dietary supplement. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, including concussion or traumatic brain injury. No statement on this site has been evaluated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or any equivalent regulator.
SYNAPS is not a substitute for medical advice. If your athlete takes medication, has a medical condition, has a known allergy, or has recently sustained a head injury, consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting. Stop use and seek medical advice if any adverse reaction occurs.
3. Orders and payment
- All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST unless otherwise indicated. Pricing may change without notice but the price you confirm at checkout is the price you pay for that order.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. By submitting payment details, you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including for suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock shortages. If we cancel, we will refund any amount charged.
4. Subscriptions
- If you sign up for a subscription, you authorise SYNAPS (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the interval and price displayed at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you pause or cancel. You can manage, pause, skip, or cancel from your account portal at any time. Changes take effect immediately for any future billing cycle.
- If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge for up to 7 days before pausing the subscription.
- Cancelling does not refund a charge already taken; cancellations apply to future renewals only. For refunds on a recent charge, see our money-back guarantee.
5. Shipping, returns, and the 30-day guarantee
Shipping timelines, returns, and the 30-day money-back guarantee are described on our Shipping & Returns page. Those terms are incorporated into these terms by reference.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in breach of these terms.
- Resell SYNAPS products without our written permission.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the website.
- Submit false or misleading information when ordering or contacting us.
- Impersonate another person or use the Service to harass others.
7. Intellectual property
SYNAPS, the SYNAPS logo, the "Support the Signal" mark, our product imagery, copy, and all related branding are owned by SYNAPS Pty Ltd or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use within the Service.
8. User-submitted content
If you post a review, testimonial, or other content with us, you grant SYNAPS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and reproduce that content for marketing the Service, with attribution by the name you provide. You confirm the content is your own and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some warranties under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded; nothing in these terms removes those rights.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SYNAPS' aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold SYNAPS harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these terms. You can stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing to access the website.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of the page indicates when the latest version took effect. We will notify you of material changes by email or with a prominent notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be heard in the courts of New South Wales, except where consumer protection laws permit you to bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction.
